Terms and Conditions
Last updated 31 August 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and the operator of MyRooty (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the website at myrootyapp.com, the quiz, any related web pages, and the paid digital plan you may buy (together, the “Service”).
Please read these Terms before you use the Service or pay. By using the site, completing the quiz, or clicking “Get my plan”, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who we are
MyRooty is a digital wellbeing companion for people who drink more than they mean to and want more of their mornings back. Support and legal requests: support@backlogbridge.com.
3. What MyRooty is — and is not
MyRooty offers self-reflection, short pauses, optional health-signal context, and a personal starting plan based on answers you give. It is for general wellbeing only.
MyRooty does not diagnose, treat, or prevent alcohol use disorder or any other medical condition. It is not therapy, medical advice, or emergency care. Biometric patterns from Apple Health or similar sources cannot prove that you drank. You decide what to confirm.
If you may be physically dependent on alcohol, seek medical advice before cutting down or stopping. Withdrawal can be dangerous. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified clinician. Do not use MyRooty instead of professional help.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service or buy a plan. You are responsible for keeping minors from using your account or payment method.
5. The quiz and your plan
The quiz asks about nights, mornings, and what you want back so we can show a starting plan. You agree to give answers that are yours and, as far as you know, accurate. The plan is a starting point, not a guarantee of results. People change at different speeds. Skip is always allowed inside the product.
After you enter an email we may save your quiz answers with that email so we can show your plan and, where allowed, send service messages. Marketing email is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Access and accounts
Some parts of the Service may require an email or later an in-app account. Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity under your email or account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
We may change, pause, or retire features. We try to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service depends on the internet, your device, app stores, and other providers we do not control.
7. Prices and payment
Plan prices are shown on the checkout page in US dollars unless we say otherwise. The price that applies is the one displayed when you confirm payment, including any intro or promo rate then in force.
Payment is completed by Stripe or another payment provider we name at checkout. We do not store your full card number. Card handling follows that provider’s terms. Taxes or extra charges from your bank or card issuer are yours.
You agree to provide current, complete billing details and a valid payment method.
8. Subscriptions and renewal
Paid plans are subscriptions for a period shown at checkout (for example 4, 8, or 12 weeks). Unless you cancel in time, the subscription may renew for a similar period at the then-current price so access is not interrupted.
If you started a trial or intro price, we will charge the disclosed rate when that period ends unless you cancel first. Limited-time offers may have extra conditions shown at checkout.
If you bought on this website, manage or cancel through the account or billing link we send, or by writing to support@backlogbridge.com. If you bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store account. Deleting the app does not cancel a store subscription.
9. Cancellation
You can cancel before the next billing period. After cancellation you keep access until the period you already paid for ends, unless we say otherwise at checkout. There is no lock-in after that period.
Please cancel at least 48 hours before renewal where the billing provider allows it, so the next charge does not go through.
10. Refunds
Digital plans begin when payment succeeds. Because the content is supplied immediately, you may not have a cooling-off right for digital content once delivery has started, where the law lets us ask you to agree to that. The checkout box is that agreement.
If the product is not as described or cannot be used because of a fault on our side, write to support@backlogbridge.com within 14 days of purchase with enough detail for us to look into it. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and may take several working days. Access may end when a refund is issued.
Deleting an account does not by itself create a refund.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service if you are under 18;
- copy, scrape, resell, or reverse engineer the Service except as the law allows;
- upload malware or attempt to break or overload our systems;
- use the Service to harm others, or to give medical advice you are not qualified to give;
- share your paid access in a way that lets many people use one subscription.
We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.
12. Intellectual property
The MyRooty name, Rooty, site design, quiz, copy, and other content are owned by us or our licensors. You get a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own wellbeing, not a sale of those rights.
If you send feedback or upload content, you give us a worldwide licence to use it to run and improve the Service. Do not send anything you do not have the right to share.
Apple, Apple Health, and related marks belong to Apple Inc. MyRooty is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
13. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy. Please read it with these Terms.
14. Third-party services
Checkout, email delivery, hosting, and optional health connections may be provided by others (for example Stripe, Omnisend, Apple). Their terms also apply when you use those parts. We are not responsible for outages or policies we do not control.
15. Liability
The Service is provided as is, as far as the law allows. We do not warrant that it will meet a particular health outcome, that nights will change, or that any signal is complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for a claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where those rules apply to you.
Decisions you take about drinking, health, or medical care are yours. Information on the site is for self-reflection. Verify anything you rely on with a qualified professional.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. The new version applies when we post it on this page, with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may also email the address we have for you. Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms: support@backlogbridge.com or our contact page.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the MyRooty operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or another place with mandatory consumer protections, those protections still apply and you may bring claims in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
